Intellectual property contact
The Research Office is responsible for all research-related IP matters up until the point that an invention disclosure is referred to specialists for assessment and follow up. This includes:- Providing advice to researchers on IP management issues in the context of grant proposals, contract research deals and other research initiatives
- IP issues under the Code of Conduct for Research, including research data and records, authorship and attribution
- Providing advice to students on IP issues in research (and also advice to supervisors, Heads and others as appropriate)
- Liaising with Legal Services on IP matters
- The University’s IP web site and related information material
