Time extension or location changes (minor amendments)
Most minor amendments fall into the category of a request for an extension of time or a change to the geographical location of fieldwork. These can be dealt with by way of an explanatory letter or email from the Project Supervisor to the AEC via the Animal Ethics group, and can be submitted at any time. If you are unsure whether yours is a minor amendment, contact our office before drafting your letter.
A maximum time extension of six months may be granted where work on a project is almost complete. Longer time extensions require a new project application to be completed on Themis. Allow enough time for approval of the new application before the original approval expires.
