The sections below contain sources of guidance covering a range of animal welfare subjects. The aim is to identify a limited selection of authoritative, accurate and current advice for animal ethics applicants. All guidance has been given a status indicating whether it is a ‘mandatory standard’, a ‘guideline’ or simply a source of ‘help and advice’. Note that some documents contain both mandatory standards and recommended guidance, which is indicated.
